My family has traveled extensively. My mom told me once when she was in India how kids would be begging on the streets with huge wounds. Some would be scooting around, others would have props like the homemade crutch depicted here. The tour guide told the tourists to ignore them and not give them any money because it encourages family members to continue to injure the kids to bring in more money. Some have gone as far as to cut limbs off, because of the lucrative financial reward it brings for the extended family. Once it heals, they just wrap the stump with rags soaked in chicken or goat 's blood to ecourage sympathy. Extreme tactics, huh?

If I ever go to India or Egypt, I hope to inquire as to how to minimize my chances of encountering these wretches. I do NOT want to see this stuff and spoil my day with the memory.

who asked for your opinion? if i wanted an assholes opinion i would fart. and i don't need to be at anybodys mercy because i earn in a month what you would in a year. and whats me being irish got to do with anything? im proud to be irish and forever will be. your english and butting in as always when your not wanted in other peoples business and countries so to speak.and if you check out the comments most of these people would piss on this fucker and fair deuce to them. and i would piss on you to little boy and i can't wait to go to hell, i already have a reserved spot right beside charles manson when he goes to. |
