Have you ever come across any unpublished photos from WEEGEE? (I can't recall his real name). He was a crime scene photog from NYC in the 40's and 50's. I think he worked for the Post, maybe the Times, not sure. Some of his shots are considered works of art. But back in the day the gory stuff was quashed for print due to public sensitivity.

There was a book of previously unpublished Weegee pix and a film with Joe Pesci in the title role.

Any idea of a title or publisher? He had a reral great eye for great B/W shots.
