Fascinating! I love this sort of thing I wonder ( of course) what he did for a living, or must have been independently wealthy to be gallivanting the high seas for 20 years! Sucks to have died alone and relatively young.

What a shame, a terrible waste of that beautiful boat. He sounds to have lived a good life though, despite the lonely ending. Looks like he was found in the nick of time too, she'd have slipped beneath the waves before the week was out.
