Market Bombing Near Green Zone 2004
I completely forgot that I had these photos from when my ex was sent out to Iraq. A couple kids were strapped with bombs and sent over to the base my ex was stationed (I forget a lot of the details so you are only getting the bare bones of the story). Basically they were stuck between a rock and a hard place, on the kids' side they were threatening to shoot if they turned back; on our side we shouted at them not to come forward or we would shoot. Shots were fired on both ends, one kid detonated setting off the others and an entire marketplace went up in flames. These are of the aftermath. |

Re: Market Bombing Near Green Zone 2004
My ex was pretty messed up after his tour. He pretty much didn't leave the house for nearly a year. I want to say it was the reason we broke up in the end, I just couldn't reach him anymore.
