As a sufferer of depression, I feel that his cause of death was depression not suicide. Its to easy to let the beast defeat you.

People who kill themselves over a lover like this obviously have deeper issues. The ex/partner/lover/whatever was just the last straw or symptom, rather.

I think it's harsh for people here to mock the person who has killed themselves, and assume they've simply done it over a broken heart. It wouldn't have been that simple or superficial. I can relate 100% - come close many times, but I know fundamentally it isn't about the lover, it's about the shit going on within myself that needs to be sorted out.

I find the hat thing weird. Must've put the noose on, then the hat back on. How strange. I guess we all have our preferences in death.

How'd he get up there, too? I can't see anything that he's used and kicked away below him, unless cops/medics have already cleared it away before any photos were taken (like a chair/crate to stand on).

I also don't know why you'd risk such a public suicide like that. Chances of being found mid-hanging (10min window period just to be sure) and being cut down before you're dead could screw it all up with nasty after-effects.
