Man Driving a Chevrolet Corvette Decapitated
US - 28 July 2005. A Westchester County man died Thursday afternoon in a crash on Route 287. J. G., 58 of Irvington, N.Y., was pronounced dead at the scene after his Chevrolet Corvette struck the rear of a tractor-trailer at about 1 p.m., near milepost 65, state police said. The truck, operated by C. O. Jr., 52, of Virginia, was parked on a northbound shoulder when the Corvette plowed into it. Oquinn was not injured, officials said. For years fake posts were being shared on social media saying "This guy was texting while driving ... they found the phone still in his hand. They found his head in the back seat!! Make sure all the young people you know, heck ALL the people you know, see this." But acording to snopes.com this is false, there was never an official mention of the driver having been texting at the time of the crash, being found with a cell phone in his hand, or his head found in the backseat. - This post is for educational purposes only and is nonprofit. Did they censor the wheel in the third photo? (I know that's where the license plate was, but the whole wheel?) I've seen the first photo quite a few times over the years, so thanks Herman for adding some gore to my Internet nostalgia. |

Well, perhaps the wheel was WHEELY Gory, as opposed to the rest of the car being only SEMI-gory. That Corvette must have been really moving to get so far under the tail of that trailer. In any case, a bad career move. |

I think what they meant by that was that it was never officially disclosed by the police - such as in statements or news reports - that the guy had been decapitated.

Me too. Saying it was not said officially that his head was decapitated... I'm sure it was in the official documents. If they didn't have access to these documents they should keep their mouths shut instead of saying it was false.

Re: Man Driving a Chevrolet Corvette Decapitated
Can't you people see that the head is obviously on the pavement behind the car?
