A 50 Yers Old died in a shootout with police in Eunápolis, late at night on Monday (24).
The police unit had been taken off the site after receiving reports indicating that the man tried to kill the owner of the rented room where he lived.
According to police, upon seeing the car, the guy fled to a nearby street to escape the siege, and shot several times towards the cops, missing them. Despite the presence of the police, he tried to return to his home in Rua da Consolação.
Close to the gate, the cops ordered him to put his hands up and surrender but the man started shooting again, and this was the worst and last mistake of his life. Two shots hit the car of the Military Police and one the gate of a neighboring house. Police counterattacked and he ended up dead with and idiotic expression on his face, as if to say "Woah! I can't believe you did this to me".
He was carrying a .32-caliber revolver with which he had already shot five times. In his hands, 18 cartridges more were found. According to the police, he had even tried to reload the weapon.
In his pouch were found five more cartridges, more than R$ 2,000 (1124.16 USD) in cash and over R$ 5,000 (2810.41 USD) in checks from third parties.
Inside the room where he lived were found bicycles, cell phones, cameras and various household items. According to the police, he was a drug dealer, and some customers were used to pay with stolen goods.
The owner of the house said he began discussing with the man because he had broke a sink and refused to pay. Then the man tried to kill him with three shots. None reached the target, but the marks were found on the walls.
