Reminds me of the Japanese film "Uzumaki" where folk commit suicide by getting themselves caught up in spirals - one guy put himself into a top-loading washing machine and another went around a car tire like this
I wonder if it isnt just a still from a jap horror movie... time to watch uzumaki again and double check. the scene with the snails on the side of the school building
