Killed for Texting Ex-Wife
According to the relatives of Jefferson Gomes da Silva, 28, the killer went to his house accompanied by his wife (Jefferson's ex), made some threats and gunfire broke out against him. The victim tried to run into the house, but could not escape the shooting. Jefferson died in his living room (next to a big old bag of garbage?). The niece said he was unaware of his uncle's involvement in brawls or drugs. "My uncle was a person of peace, quiet. We never knew that he used drugs or hung out with bad company. The person who did this to him came to our house and said he was sending messages to his wife, who is the former wife of Jefferson. My uncle tried to defend himself and said that since they parted there was never sought.
