Fairly common story in Brazil. 19 year old wife was caught kissing another man. Hubby beat the shit out of the boyfriend, so the wife decided to leave him. He and a .22 gauge shotgun convinced her otherwise.

In any event, he shot her in the back and that was the end of her. Looks like the gutless bastard pissed in his pants when the cops came for him. Poetic justice, I suppose, since the poor girl obviously pissed in hers when he started shooting.

Looked more like a rifle to me too, but the news story said 'shotgun' quite specifically. I try to avoid making interpretations beyond what the story says when possible.
