Re: IRA (Irish Republican Army)
Yep... always calling us terrorists... if you British scum didn't get so greedy and decide to take over all of Ireland there'd be no IRA, no Northern Ireland, no arguments, all would be at peace. And yet, you place the blame on us? Every day I see and hear this shit, both on the net and in real life, you Brits are the true scumbags of the Earth! |

Re: IRA (Irish Republican Army)
I remember this very well. And I agree with the OP, there ARE 2 sides to the story. My ex was a Royal Marine and served time in Northern Ireland. It was a nightmare and I could sympathize immensely with the innocent people caught up in the whole thing.

Re: IRA (Irish Republican Army)
this is sad for sure.my fathers parents are from the republic and my maternal grandmother is from (london)derry. as a child i learnt that even 13000 miles away from eire the hatred traveled over with my granparents.personally i'm over it and my only emotions are with the innocents that paid the ultimate price and to a degree those that commited these acts. im sure that as heinous as these crimes were, a lot were done by those who honestly believed that were doing the right thing. i sure knew what tit-for tat meant as a kid it is almost pathetic how quickly peace was found after the money-pipeline was turned off after 9/11 see even in that day of horrors some good came of it |

Re: IRA (Irish Republican Army)
Born and raised in Ireland and bred into an active IRA family. As far as "low-life mutha fuckas" MrBojangles73. It looks like we missed our fucking opportunity for you eh?!? Maybe ask your british buds what the hell sort of "policing action" takes decades and results in the murder of innocents. I will say that some of the IRA have gotten out of hand. But if you would have done any research whatsoever you would find that it started as a peaceful movement, many still hold true to that today. |
