Rebellion in Róger ends with one dead, six injured and a woman in labor
The rebellion occurred in the prison of Roger, started at around 12pm on Thursday (27), ended with a balance of one dead, six injured and a woman in labor. The incident occurred while some detainees were receiving conjugal visits and among them was a pregnant woman already eight months pregnant.
Shocked because of the shootout, the woman ran and fell, which began the labor. The victim was rescued by police from Samu and ended up giving light inside one of the ambulances that were in place.
The wounded prisoners were taken into custody for the Emergency Hospital and the Capital Traumad.
After nearly two hours of rebellion, the climate inside the prison Roger began to calm down. After the break-in by the police of Choque and Gate, inmates decided to come to terms and agreed to end the rebellion.
Despite the agreement, the officers continued to hold in readiness against a possible attack, which did not happen. Initial reports indicated a toll of three dead and dozens injured, a fact which was later denied.
The incident started as a retailation by inmates of the faction known as the Estados Unidos after one of its members had been tortured, executed, and quartered yesterday afternoon by members of Al Qaeda faction. Inmates set fire to almost all the mattresses of the prison.
Now according to the new agreemen, members belonging to the two opposite factions, will never again be mixed.
So, basically:
you have members belonging to two warrying factions in the same prison, and you remain calm and wait for the intervention of Einstein in order to realize that some clash may occur? Fortunately this incidents toll pales if compared to others, but seriously, only one idiot could even just hope that nothing would have happened. It's like to light-up a cigarette while you are sitting your ass down in a barrel of gunpowder.
