I found some Art Pollard photos that I don't think have been posted, If they have sorry, but they are good ones. This is Art's practice crash at the 1973 Indy 500. He died of multiple injuries including burns, broken arm and pulmonary damage. He took part in 84 USAC races, winning two with a best Indy 500 result of 8th in 1967.  ·  ·  ·  · |

A crash for Ronnie Peterson in a March 711 with an Alfa Romeo V8 engine at the International Trophy Non Championship F1 race at Silverstone 1971.

It was a tough battle for the British Formula Three Championship in 1983 between Ayrton Senna and Martin Brundle and it sometimes got too physical. This is a crash between the pair at Thruxton. Senna went on to win the Championship with Brundle a close second.

A massive crash for the Italian driver Ivan Capelli at the Vallelunga track in Italy during the 1985 F3000 Championship. He won one race in '85 before winning the Championship the following year. Ivan then spent eight years in F1, the last season a disasterous one with Ferrari. His best results were a pair of 2nd's one in '88 the other '90, both for the Leyton House March team.  · |
