Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
The youtube vids I posted with the Rusty Wallace post are gone... Is that against rules or frowned upon? Just want to make sure so I know for the future. I don't have these videos that are actually mine and not technologically educated enough to begin to know how to make some of my own. Thanks!

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
Well its not frowned upon But if a Youtube video is taken down, the user deletes the vid, Youtube crashes, etc. etc. then the video will not work anymore no matter where it is embedded I have mastered ripping videos to my computer, converting them to FLV and uploading them to the forum Once its uploaded to DR its here forever and nobody can take it down You have to have the tools to do all of that, and you have to know limits, size, time, if you need to split the video, etc. etc. I will grab the videos that you embedded from Youtube and get them downloaded The Martin/Renshaw (both clips) should have been posted a long time ago by me That crash deserves another look from everyone, anger is the word that pops into my mind first |

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
Threw together a quick vid I stole er I mean obtained the two clips from Youtube, cut out any post production garbage and any static or blurry screens I extracted that god awful music from the first clip Spliced the two clips together, added some synthy horror music, converted it to FLV and uploaded to the best website in the world All in under 5 minutes |

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
Awesome. Maybe I missed the Martin video, cuz I've been all the way through this awesome thread. Sorry if I did. And I think we both feel exactly the same way about his uncalled for death. Much like Blaise Alexander... That kid was a BADASS and was gonna set some records in NASCAR once he made it there and that dumbass Kerry Earnhardt killed him with a typical Earnhardt move... Just wreck them for no reason. Both of those crashes absolutely make me sick. Yeah, the Rusty Wallace vids I embedded were there for a few minutes then went away. Wish I had the stuff and knew how to rip my own copies to my comp of that stuff! Thanks Alvin!

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
This isn't much, but it the last 2 years 500's have been AWESOME races. I was SOOOO hoping Takuma Sato would pull it off in 2012 but he got "Franchitti'ed" lol These are just pictures of after the wreck from my seats. I have a crappy little camera. Sorry it isn't too interesting, but to experience these last two years finishes...

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
I have not attended a race since Ayton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger died I stopped watching around the time Greg Moore died The only reason I have any pictures after say the year 2000 or so is because they were sent to me by racing/crash contacts throughout the years I hate Dario Franchitti I hate Danica Patrick I hate everybody I would bet my life that Rick Mears would make Franchitti look like a 3 year old on a tricycle at Indy The average Indy/F-1 driver in the 60s/70s/and 80s had more pure talent and more skills then the top drivers of today And I never posted a Eric Martin crash video, I was saying that I should have posted it along time ago Thats why I whipped a quick vid of the crash out while keeping the credit of posting the vid to you brother |

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
Agreed Agreed In 99% agreement ABSOLUTELY!!! Mears was and is my hero! I DO NOT get starstruck, but still, every time I meet him I'm in complete awe and stumble over my words! He is like a god man! lol They had to run ALL types of cars and surfaces, especially 50's/60's... They were REAL race car drivers back then. Midget on 1/4 mile dirt track Friday, to Sprint Car on a half mile dirt track Saturday, then to the pavement for the Indy/Champ Car SEE, I am a total idiot in front of him! Just look at that "I'm not worthy" look on my face! lol |
