Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
The funniest shit just happened, I thought I knew where my Jo Siffert album was at or at least I know where my 1971 album is and those always have the more common crash photos in them So im digging around getting carpal tunnel syndrome from clicking the mouse 18,765 times in the last hour, getting pissed, frustrated, yelling at myself for not knowing back in the day that 10 years in the future I would make a thread about racing accidents and I shuld organize these now, and so on So I hit this album and I see a sub folder and its him! I was like hell yeah that sucked to find, but know im rolling So I open it and start looking through and right away I know its the wrong album, I keep looking, see if anything is hidden , cant figure it out Spent 10 minutes trying find out how and why the folder is wrong, so when I gave up I started closing folders and the last one I close, the one I thought I had wasnt Jo Siffert It was Jo Schlessler! I was so pissed that I saw Jo S....... and was so happy I opened that shit up faster then I could read it Oh man do I suck, always do it the hard way, every single time, never backtrack, never double check, no just dig myself so deep that I cant even remember what I was looking for The good news is that 2 folders below was Jo Siffert |

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
Richard Seaman or Dick Seaman as he was known was a young thrusting British driver, driving for the mighty Mercedes 'Silver Arrows' team from 1937 to 1939. The team was partly financed by Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party and things were getting increasing uncomfortable for the British driver as Germany crept closer to war with Europe. This is Spa in Belgium 1939, Seaman is leading by a mile, but its wet and he makes a small error. The car leaves the track at La Source bending around a tree, trapping the driver and bursting into flames. Dick was dragged out by a policeman, he speaks to loved ones in his hospital bed before succuming to his burns. |

Oh man that first picture of Seaman is bad news I have a picture of a race in Argentina or Brazil, I just cant remember but crashes, is on fire, jumps out of the car engulfed in flames and runs to the police and fire marshals who are standing in front of the crowd and they all run away from him! The fire marshals RUN AWAY FROM HIM! Thats not a typo I cant remember his name but it will come to me when I see the pic |

While searching I found this gem of a picture I hate Nascar, however I love Danny Bagwell, I have to post the vid as well because in the picture he looks dead, but he is not dead, in fact he letting out a sigh of relief that he is alive Oh and watch how fucking long it takes nascar medics to get to Bagwell! He frees himself, has time for a coffee break, and could have treated his own head wound by the time these Einstiens walk over to him and say "Hi" |

Martin Donnelly's career, and nearly life ending shunt, in qualifying for the Spanish GP at Jerez in 1990. He survived with multiple injuries.

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
The aftermath of Elio de Angelis fatal testing crash at the Paul Ricard curcuit in France 1986. Elio's rear wing came off of his car, the Brabham BT55 then vaulted the guardrail and came to rest upside down and on fire. What happened after this was a disgrace, with uncomfortable similarities to Bandini and Williamson's accidents years before. As this was private testing there were no fire marshals and it took other drivers and mechanics a long time to get him out. Elio died later that day of his injuries...

Re: Indy/Formula One: Fatal and Non Fatal Crash Photos (Stop Motion, Color, B&W)
Nasty looking ejection of Ferrari driver Mike Parkes at Spa in 1967. He went off on oil dropped by Jackie Stewart's BRM, the car hitting a bank and turning over, as seatbelts were not worn at this time Mike was thrown from the car 'bending his kness forwards' as he did so, (ouch). Parkes suffered multiple broken bones and compound fractures but returned to sportcar racing then team management before being killed in a road crash in 1977. |
