Re: Hung And Wrists Slit
Wow...you sound like you know your stuff! I always wonder about death tho. Yeah, I hear people say that hanging is painless. But how do we know. It's not as if anyone ever came back from the dead and gave us the 411 on their death. As of yet, I have not heard any deceased individual tap me on my shoulder and said "girl, when I hung myself in my closet Saturday it was completely PAINLESS...bitch I didn't feel a thing" OR someone telling me "Yeah, when I shot myself at first I felt a prick on my temple, but after that initial BANG it was smooth sailing after that". You even seem to know that cutting one's wrist is more efficient vertically, than horozontally....wow and creepy all in one!

That has to be a hospital she killed herself in. No doubt. Those curtains are the sliding ones between beds. The furniture looks typical as well. The gown could even be issue in some psych or rehab places I have seen. I can understand the desire to get the F out of any one of those places.

Re: Hung And Wrists Slit
Kikime, it's basic to understanding how life works. Hanging is indeed very painful -- at first. In this order: the brain swells, the heart stops, and a compressed trachea blocks oxygen to the lungs, then loss of consciousness, which all transpires rapidly. Usually. Five minutes later, all one's problems (...and one's self) are toast, and by time one's been out to lunch for a bit. Pain from blood loss, however, is very painful as well, but can last significantly longer before losing consciousness. Suicides who slit their wrists often have pain-killers in their system.

Re: Hung And Wrists Slit
And I need to revise my earlier note where I said how I don't understand why someone would want to kill theirself. Clinical depression is a very serious, tunnel-visioned illness. In fact, lots of the anti-depressants available to people who are actually seeking help, a side-effect can be ... suicidal thoughts. Go figure. I am not trying to be glib here. When I was active, I have responded to suicides, hence my "knowledge" (which were depressing enough!) and I have personally known two friends over the years who committed suicide.
