The most likely answer is yes. It takes a while to bleed out, even from a lacerated jugular vein or carotid artery. Rolling and thrashing around is common for someone in his situation.

Murder-suicide is the ultimate form of immature self-expression. It is the 3 year olds temper tantrum expressed by an 'adult' with a weapon. It is almost always perpetrated by males (note that I'm not using the word 'man') . Girls, be careful out there - you never know exactly what you are dealing with.
