The body of a man was found charred yesterday morning (19/03/13) by local workers. It is believed to be the body of a man who's head was found in a different part of town.
Police believe the remains are a fugitive who was wanted in connection with drug trafficking and robberies.
There is no suspect yet.

It's weird to take somebody's head at all

Maybe someone needed to prove he was really dead. It's not uncommon for drug lords to demand confirmation without setting foot at the scene of the crime, and a head is a lot easier to carry than lugging some guys 200 lbs corpse across town

Great film about that, "Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia" by Sam Peckinpaugh. But its not a drug lord, but a pissed mexican father that wants the head of the guy who knocked up his young daughter. Warren Oates drives around with the head in his car but it starts attracting flies "muchas moscas senor!".

Not quite up to "Wild Bunch" or "The Getaway" quality, but worth a viewing....
