PHILIPPINES - On August 13, 2021, 49-year-old tricycle driver "D." hanged himself inside the living room of his house in Barangay Palta Small, Virac, Catanduanes. Here's the translated news report:

TRICYCLE DRIVER DEAD AFTER HANGING HIMSELF IN VIRAC, CATANDUANES

A tricycle driver named "D.", 49 years old, married and resident of Barangay Palta Small, Virac was found lifeless while hanging at around 5:00 AM.

According to the victim's wife Mommy R., while preparing for their mini-store in the said barangay when she was told that he would mix a coffee for two of them. However after almost an hour, her husband did not come back, so she decided to go to their home, where she found her husband hanging in their living room.

The victim was hanged using a nylon rope tying on a concrete beam on the part of their living room. She immediately called her neighbors for help to rush her husband into EBMC [Eastern Bicol Medical Center] hospital, however he was declared dead on arrival by Dr. Arman S. Espinola.

According to Mommy R., her husband was problematic due to financial problems. This was his second attempt to commit suicide due to depression.

PHILIPPINES - In February 2019, a detainee was found hanged inside a jail cell. His niece did not believe that he committed suicide as said by police. Notice the bruises around his body.
