Nice thread. It also documents why you should go to the bathroom before the event. At least I'm assuming an empty bladder may help with the problem some of these poor girls had.

Plenty of them hang themselves in the US every day. Problem is, we have this little issue with 'propriety' in this country. It is perfectly fine and acceptable to put photos and videos of bloodied Libyan dictator corpses or fat, old, suicidal dudes (Bud Dwyer) all over the news in America. But some pretty white girl with rope-burn and pissed-in pants? Oh goodness no. That's just wrong and horrible. So disrespectful.  Trust me, they're out there. I've reviewed hundreds of autopsies of hanged Caucasian females in this country. But the photos will never see the light of day. Too many 'ethical' cops and coroners in the US for that. |

Covers autopsy reports in many states and ME scene investigations in several. But not photos. Not anymore. Prior to 2001, you could get autopsy/crime scene photographs for closed cases in most states in the US. But Dale Earnhardt's pissing, moaning, weeping, whining wife made such a huge stink when a newspaper wanted her husband's autopsy photos that the law got changed in every single state in the country. Now we're restricted to autopsy reports only (and even then about half the states require you to be family to get access to those) and no photographs whatsoever. Believe me, if I had started this thread 10 years ago the demographic of suicide victim photos would be dramatically different. As it is, I could post autopsy reports of hundreds of suicide victims in the US, but they tend to be fairly clinical and incomprehensible to people without any medical training. And I've tried posting a few before; most people tend to find them boring. |
