Guy Strangled His Wife, Put Her in Freezer then Shoot & Kills the Deputy Mayor

Brazil, A man who broke into a city Hall and assassinated the deputy mayor before trying to commit suicide was rescued in serious condition and remains in the intensive care.

The tragedy was actually the outcome of another crime of passion in the State Capital 150 KM away. Moments before he decided to kill the deputy mayor he revealed to the police he was betrayed by his wife, a nurse (35), and he murdered her last Sunday, after finding messages of betrayal on her phone by strangulation before wrapping her body in a sheet and hiding her in a freezer.

The couple was married for 10 years and had two children. He worked as cheese seller and sold freezers to store the cheese in. The police took almost two hours to remove the frozen body.

The next day, Monday (23), the killer wrote a letter to his family telling what had happened and fled to his native town where he was seen in the evening dining in the company of friends.

On Tuesday morning he went to the City Hall invaded the vice-mayor's office and killed him with several shots from a .38 caliber revolver.

After the gunfire employees called the police. The gunman locked himself up in a room and said he had taken hostages. The building was isolated and military police began negotiation with the killer.

In those negotiations the murderer confessed again that he had murdered his wife two days earlier and put her in a freezer in the couple's apartment.

After nearly three hours of siege, police officers from the Special Tactics Action Group carried out a tactical raid and saw there were no hostages and another shot was heard. When military police entered the office they found the killer with a serious gunshot wound to the head.

Meanwhile, in the State Capital where the couple lived (150 Km away), police entered the apartment of the couple and found the body of the woman inside the freezer. She worked as a nurse here.
