I just said this was real. It's a famous anomaly from 1981. Documented. That's in my lifetime but maybe not in some others'. The photos are fake, yes. THE STORY IS NOT. Indeed, it's more a testament to how much doctors still don't know. Most people would have died. This girl (now in her 50's!) did not.

Ya I'm having a hard time believeing this one...there are just too many things here which don't add up. HERES WHY: The reason we can't freeze people and bring them back to life is because we would have to achive 37C (normal body temp) to -273C (or 0K) in less than a fraction of a second. Otherwise, (as is the case here and many other icy deaths) the freezing causes the water molecules to expand because they re-arrange to form a lattice network (this is why ice expands) and this expansion to allow for rearrangements causes death. It pops veins, cells and other essential life stuctures. So after this nerdy paragraph, I confidently stamp this as BS!  |
