the elephant named mary was killed in erwin tennessee ...about 20 miles from my house..mary actually trampled to death a circus worker in my hometown of kingsport and so they took her to erwin to hang her in the railroad yard from a railmounted crane

people find the dumbest ways to kill animals. i mean really why couldn't they have just given her an overdose of barbituates (probably spelled wrong lol) like they do other animals?

The towns on schedule refused to let the circus in with the elephant..

So they made a big spectacle...The picture you see is actually the first attempt...They doped it up and lifted it on the crane and the chain broke, elephant fell and broke it's hip...They did it again until it was dead...All because she killed a new handler that was seen abusing the animal..

Too bad about the elephant...Dude deserved it..
