16 year old girl who looks like she'd been living rough. Known drug user in the area (article didn't specify, but usually it's crack down there). She'd been at her parents' house the day before, banging on the door and asking for sanctuary-claiming that her life was in danger from a man she identified only as 'Gay Mario.'

Obviously, the parentals were not impressed with the Gay Mario story. They'd likely heard it all before, a thousand times, most of which resulted in this chica looting the family piggy bank and using it for crack.

In this case, however, it seems the threats were not idle. She was found the next day, stabbed to death with a fishing knife-the sort used to filet a fluke. Probably not a big surprise to anyone, least of all her. Though she doesn't look too happy about it. :/

Suspect has not been formally identified or arrested, but local police surely have a team of crack detectives working around the clock to run down 'Gay Mario.'
