Yes, I realize that you saying you hated pitbulls is only your opinion, and therein lies the problem: I disagree with your opinion, as is my right. Yes, you are entitled to your opinion as well, however, having an opinion is one thing, posting videos of animals being harmed or killed or wishing death upon them is another thing entirely. I did take the time to read your posts. I still disagree with them and as I tried to bring to your attention repeatedly, just because you read something on the internet doesn't make it true. Your response was to keep regurgitating these statistics and making comments to the effect that I didn't check the links. I did. I understand that these statistics you were quoting came from the news media. Similar to the internet, they frequently report biased or outright incorrect information. The media are fear-mongers. All they want to do is scare people. Did you not notice all this crap they shoved down everyone's throat about H1N1 which never came to fruition? How about the killer bees that were supposed take over the country and kill everone? For some reason, the media picks a breed every decade to villify. In the 70s it was the Doberman, the 80s the GSD, now the pitbull. The media, even reputable sources, can be very irresponsible regarding some of the things they report. For example, just last night on World News with Diane Sawyer, (a reputedly reliable source) during a report on Clostridium difficile, some very pertinent information was omitted. Any viewers not in the medical field probably believed what was reported. The media can put a spin on anything and render it suitable to their purpose. For these reasons, I felt as though your accusations were "baseless". (Again, that is my opinion, to which I am entitled) As is normal procedure in any debate or discussion, I informed you of some statistics that I received from someone in the profession i.e., my grandfather. You responded by using profanity and insulting my grandfather who never did anything to you. It seems as though you feel that you are entitled to your opinion, however, anyone whose opinion conflicts with yours is an idiot deserving of insults and degredation. As far as my "misconception" of your hatred for dogs, maybe I infered it from the footage you posted of dogs being shot and your statement that you laughed while watching it. Or maybe it was when you wished death upon my dog. As for you hurting my feelings, you didn't. My feelings don't get hurt. I would have to care what people thought of me in order for that to happen. That being said, I'll accept your apology. Oh, and by the way, I've noticed that everyone on here is referring to me as "he". Just so you know, I am female. |
