Drive-Thru (and Bullet Proof!) Funeral Home
Never thought I would ever use the words "drive thru" and "bullet proof" to describe a funeral home. We have fast food, why not fast funerals?!? Guess I'm not surprised that it is in Compton. http://photoblog.nbcnews.com/_news/2...eral-home?lite |

Re: Drive-Thru (and Bullet Proof!) Funeral Home
Why does the dead guy need protection with bullet proof glass?

Re: Drive-Thru (and Bullet Proof!) Funeral Home
It does not really look like it is "bullet-proof", being the glass enclosure around the body viewing area appears to be just standard plate glass panels, and there are not any provisions on the outside where the "drive-thru" is located to indicate that it has any ballistic materials covering the entrance or exit, or even the side wall with the masonry is located. I certainly would not depend on those little cinder, deco-blocks to stop any wayward rounds coming at it. C. |

Re: Drive-Thru (and Bullet Proof!) Funeral Home
One of the articles I read about this place said the bullet proof glass was to keep the people inside the viewing room safe from drive by shootings from rival gang members. Compton, CA is notorious for gang rivalry.
