My dad had a business card on the corner of his desk as long I can remember... It said... Wrong me once, shame on you. Wrong me twice, shame on me. There are a lot of cars (where I live) with this bumper sticker on them that says.. REAL men don't hit women (they are from the rape and domestic crisis center)... I have a retort to that particular statement... No, REAL men do not hit women.... But REAL women do not allow themselves to be hit either. We, are ALL responsible for how we allow others to treat us. Good or bad. If you ACCEPT it? Then it becomes acceptable behavior. |

I totally agree with you. if my man EVER hit me, it would be the last time. i would never stay, because that then tells the man that hey, you hit me once and i stayed. it's okay to do it again  |

poor woman... being in a voilent relationship is horrible,i put up with it for 3 years.. before getting out when he left the country.. i never dared go to the police about it though still wouldnt now and it was over 2 years ago.
