Re: Dogs Eats Dead Males Body
Okay, here's what I see and I'm no expert: The sand, I think, is dried hard, sort of like a river bed. Look at the shoes in the top of the third picture. No sinking into the sand. There is sand/dust on the face, which says to me that they flipped over the body. Perhaps the other side has a bit of chewing? Though, it is possible that the animals never touched it. I think I've seen a few pictures here of dogs eating owners but leaving the face. It's possible that, as a darker skinned person, the skin looks fresher because of pooling. Right? Could be wrong. The "intact" arm must have been chewed on around the should because in the last two pictures, you can see the bones where the arm should be. Or, it could have been used to flip the body and came off. Lastly, a theory. Maybe someone went Hannibal on this guy and killed him, then tried to hide he evidence by letting dogs nom on the body. Perhaps before they could complete the job, someone happened across? The lack of blood is a bit interesting, but I do know some animals, when hungry enough, will even eat the grass and grown around a carcass to get all the blood. What is that dark spot near the foot in the last picture and the big spot a few feet from the body in the second to last. Could that possibly be the actual spot that the body was found and it was moved as they flipped him? |

Re: Dogs Eats Dead Males Body
The dogs that ate him have been socialized. Or domesticated. They are always or usually a bit leary of the head when casually eating. The head is too personal for them. Now if they are attacking in a rage they specifically target the face. Eyes, lips nose are all targets for an enraged dog. But when eating peacefully a properly socialized dog wants to avoid the face.

Re: Dogs Eats Dead Males Body
I guess you didn't notice the dirt smear on the face? Or the fact that the left arm is all covered in dirt and shows it was UNDER the body? Or the gravel impressions on the cheek? Or the stains on the dirt where the moved the body from? Or the smeared doggy tracks on the shirt? Or the partial doggy tracks in the dirt? It's not sand but hard caked gravel and dirt.. Very hard to get even a hint of impressions. You don't even see foot prints of the people who moved him. But you do see finger scrapes in the dirt where he tried to escape before he was over come. Obviously you have not seen many carcasses that have been eaton by dogs. I have. Depending on the situation dogs can be finicky eaters. I am thinking there were not too many dogs here and they were domesticated dogs. Maybe poorly fed but well socialized. They avoided the face. Wild dogs wouldn't care what part they ate.
