For some reason I'm under the impression that there's been several American female soldiers that have had their legs blown up like that, and that are now amputees.
I distinctly recall another pic that's similar to this one that's purportedly of an American woman soldier. But in that one her leg was taken off alot higher up, up to her crotch, and tore up her moot pretty badly.
I saw it too it is at the buttocks level and her left leg.
