Chechen Female Suicide Bombers detonate Moscow's Metro System 3/29/10
At least 38 people have been killed and close to 40 have been injured as a result of two explosions that occurred in Moscow's metro system on the morning of March 29. According to preliminary reports, 25 people were killed in the first blast, at the Lubyanka station in central Moscow. A second explosion hit the Park Kultury station 45 minutes later killing 12. Both blasts are said to have been detonated by female suicide bombers, potentially associated with the Chechen rebel movement.  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  · |
