The buses, which are franchised by competing private companies and the drivers, which are paid in commissions, are always the root of the chaotic traffic conditions in Metro Manila.

As the victim was trying to catch a bus in a non-loading zone, another bus tried to pass and out-maneuver ahead of the other bus, squeezing the guy in between. It has passed two hours when these photos was taken. They couldn't move the buses for fear of further injuring the victim. It took a crane from the Road Emergency Group to free the victim but passed away in the hospital later on. There is a "closed-door policy" being enforced on the buses and investigation is ongiong. click to enlarge.
