Cambodia - 2 Teenage Girls Killed in Road Accident
On the afternoon of 30th January 2020 in Bakan district (Cambodia), 2 teenage girls were killed. The girls, 'S' + S.K., were riding on a motorbike outside their school to go home. A minibus crashed into them, ending their young lives. Teachers of the school paid tribute to the girls, stating that they were 'outstanding students'.

When you see all the posts from Cambodia it would be easy to think that it's a dangerous place and people dropping dead like this all over. That's not the case. Despite appearances Cambodians are very careful drivers, they have to be because the traffic system is a bit ad hoc and you don't have police up your ass about every little thing. I used to see a bad to major traffic accident every other day in London. In Cambodia I've seen 3 minor scrapes in 10 years. The other thing, serious crime in Cambodia is surprisingly low. And politics is kept quite 'simple'. Where in UK, USA etc they are filling up pages with political crap, in Cambodia they don't have as much 'news' to report. So things like traffic accidents, and tourists deaths etc, get reported. You could not do this in USA - for example NY where legend has it there's a murder every second. If the news tried to report even 1 quarter of those, it would be nothing but and the paper would be like a telephone directory.
