The news said that they missed the vein altogether. IMO, I think the peel is from all if the fluids forced into the tissue causing it to swell (similar to a blister or wheal). This would have caused sloughing and peeling. If the fluids caused chemical burns when injected the ACLU would be suing under cruel and unusual punishment and not having any problem overturning or outlawing lethal injection. IMO #2, the capital punishment should be identical to the crime. |
