The Asalon pills are equivalent to Xanax in the US, with both containing alprazolam. Xanax is Schedule 3 in the US. The only other med I could make out was Lasilix, which is equivalent to Lasix (furosemide) in the US. Lasix is unscheduled in the US. It functions as a powerful diuretic and is often prescribed to patients with hypertrophic-cardiomyopathy/congestive-heart-failure (CHF.) Hardcore alcoholics often develop HC/CHF, which can result in reduced heart efficiency. So the diuretics stimulate kidney function to offset reduced cardiac efficiency, potentially staving off serious resulting conditions like pulmonary edema (fluid in the lungs) or other massive third-spacing of built-up fluids. The others were unidentifiable and/or supplements.  |
