He was caught stealing so was tied to a wooden pole and beaten to death. After he was killed, the police came and removed the body.

I agree with Ed Gein. The face is awfully black compared to the rest of him.

A lot of countries seem to like their victims naked. I guess to make it hurt more, not that clothing would make it that much less painful. Most of the clothing looks like very light cotton or linen.
