Happened last night in Brazil. 23 year old girl was walking with two friends. A truck drove by and riddled her with bullets. Her friends immediately ran for their lives and have not been seen since.

Details are confirmed because the entire murder took place on CCTV. Girl was still alive when the police arrived (shots were reported), but died before reaching the hospital.

Photos of the incident are pretty spotty. Very few of my usual news sources have anything other than the 'alive' shots I am posting here. I managed to dig up a few sketchy videos, as well, and am posting some screengrabs from them. If I find/cap more later, I'll add them to the thread. I have a copy of the CCTV footage, but it was poor resolution camera footage streamed through poor resolution flash. So I'm not going to bother posting it. Don't bother asking for it, there really isn't much to see. If I can find a better copy, I'll upload it. The site that covered most of the incident has all of their vids protected behind regional restrictions and I couldn't get access to them, despite using more than a dozen Brazilian proxies.

She was shot several times, with most hits going into the upper body. As you can see in some of the screen grabs, she took a bullet in each leg, as well, with individual entry wounds and dark blood stains on the side and back of either thigh. The stains at her crotch and upper thighs are urine where she wet her pants after being hit, not blood from additional shots.

Always possible, but unlikely in this situation. A drive-by directed at a girl in a crowd of friends is a pretty distant, impersonal method of dispatch. Usually the Brazilian boyfriend crimes are more 'crimes of passion': stabbings, stranglings, beatings, close-range shootings, etc. This sort of murder appears more calculated and cold.

I'm not expert, of course. But I do see and read about a great many of these types of killings every day, so I like to think I have at least a bit of a feel for some of the process.

brazil... hmmm not too different in mexico. she's probably a rival gangster's girl, rival dope pusher's girl or someone who squealed to the cops and killed as lesson. down there, a milligram of heroin or any drug is more expensive than human lives.
