It is currently estimated that 230,000 Haitians were killed by the deadly earthquake. Most were buried in mass graves, anonymous yet united in their gruesome death.

Dead bodies lie in a pit in Titanyen, Haiti. Officials, overwhelmed by the thousands of dead from the 7.0-strong earthquake on January 12 2010, have resorted to burying the corpses without ceremony in hastily-dug pits in a rural area outside of Port au Prince.

I dont think thats their grave, just where they were dumped. Maybe its a pile of lime or whatever to speed up decomp. If i had several neighbours stinking up my collapsed hovel , moving them is the most i would give them in a survival situation.
