They signed on to protect......maybe should have been an ice cream man. Not so dangerous, cant really feel sorry for cops.

What a dumb comment. They sign up to do a job no one else will do.

Well, I'm sure your unique perspective really can be applied undiluted to the situation "in México", just as you are doing. You sound downright scholarly about this issue. The Cartels send recruits to the academy so they're in their pocket from day one. The only solution is to end the prohibition so the rule of law can be applied as opposed to the rule of the jungle.
