Pol Pot, Cambodian Communist Leader, Death Pics
Pol Pot, the notorious leader of the Khmer Rouge regime, died on April 15, 1998, in the jungle village of Anlong Veng, Cambodia. He was 73. Pol Pot, born Saloth Sar, presided over a reign of terror in Cambodia from 1975 to 1979, during which an estimated 1.7 million people died from forced labor, starvation, and execution in what is often referred to as the Cambodian genocide. His death, reportedly due to heart failure, occurred just before he was to be turned over to an international tribunal for trial for his crimes against humanity. Pol Pot's regime, known for its brutal agrarian socialism, sought to take Cambodia back to "Year Zero" and purged intellectuals, city residents, and ethnic minorities. The Khmer Rouge was eventually ousted by Vietnamese forces in 1979. Pol Pot spent his final years in the northern jungle of Cambodia, a shadowy figure eluding international justice. His death brought an end to a chapter in Cambodian history marked by extreme violence and suffering, but many survivors expressed disappointment that he was never held accountable in a court of law.  ·  ·  ·  · |

When I first glaned at the title I thought it said 'piss pot death pics'. I was half expecting to see dead people on toilets.  Pol Pot has some serious nipple leakage going on. Looks like he'd been dead for awhile. His hand is black.  |
