Giraffe Autopsy Image

This giraffe was seen on 12th May 2008 at Lewa wildlife conservancy. The rangers reported that, they saw him limping and the left forelimb and the right hind limb had swollen joints. By then the veterinarian was away on another duty and so he could not attend to the animal immediately. When the veterinarian was back, we did not find the animal then. 4 days later the same animal was found dead. We arranged to perform a necropsy to establish the cause of death.

Among the significant findings were fracture of the carpal bone and joint infection. The neck was bent and on opening it up, it was found that the cervical bones were dislocated. It was suspected that the animal must have been knocked by another one causing the dislocation of the cervical bones. There was blood tinged froth in the trachea and its is suspected that the giraffe died of aspiration pneumonia.

There are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many images of people here and the goings on of the animal kingdom is just as interesting - I have to watch though, creatures are a very touchy subject here!! I love animals and don't see anything wrong in posting images here.

Why do people act like such vaginas when it comes to posting pictures of animals?

I know eh? It's called "moral inversion". They put animals above humans it seems. Do they hate themselves that much they put their worth below animals? They don't realise that is ultimately what they're saying! It's very disturbing to me

Re: Giraffe Autopsy Image

but are you saying we are higher than animals? because ultimately we are so dependant on animals for food/ clothing / protection etc but yet it seems we treat them how we want when all they do is try to live with us .....does that mean we are incapable of living with another species? cos i must admit we seem to have problems living with our own kind

Have you noticed how quick people are to crack a joke when someone is splattered on the ground, but when a picture of an animal that died naturally is posted, all of a sudden they have hearts. Give me a fucking break!

Re: Giraffe Autopsy Image

I've got more respect for animals than i do for humans because we should know better. Animals can't help being animals but we can.
