The world's politest robber fled a petrol station with a fistful of cash, but not before apologising to the cashier and offering to bring the money back one day if he could.
The thief — armed with a gun — was captured on CCTV thanking the shop assistant for handing over the money and telling him: "I really am sorry and if I ever get back on my feet again Sir I will bring it back."
The remorseful robber then began to give a detailed explanation to the stunned cashier as to why he was committing the raid.
He told shop assistant John Henry: "I really am sorry to have to do this but I've got kids.
"I've got rent to pay. I've got bills and the kids need to eat."
Alleged robber, Gregory P Hess, targeted the petrol station on Saturday and fled with £190.
As he left he told Mr Henry: "Thank you very much. I appreciate it."
The very understanding cashier replied: "God be with you," to which the surprising robber added: "Thank you very much, and with you too."
Cops later arrested Hess at his home.
