Re: Staffordshire Bull Terrier Attacks Woman Protecting Her Dog
American Pit Bull Terrier and American Staffordshire(very recently the same breed) are both directly from the Staffordshire Terrier. They all have the same temperament. The breed standard dogs in all 3 breeds is to be a muscular, high energy dog that is human friendly and has a potentially high chance of dog aggression, due to their history in dog fighting. If you watch dog shows - they never face them off like they do the other breeds. The only real difference in those 3 breeds is that the Staffordshire is smaller than the other two. "Pit Bull" isn't a breed - it's a label. The dog in the video looks like a BULL TERRIER. (Spuds Mackenzie and the Target mascot) That was a breed created from the American Pit Bull Terrier and mixed with a few other breeds, such as Dalmatian - to create the "Gentlemen's Dog". Something that made them not look like lowlife dog fighters. Only problem is, they have the same temperament as all the other "Pit Bull Types". High potential for dog aggression. That woman did not get attacked by a dog. She stuck her hand in the mouth of a dog who was attacking another dog. That dog was paying no attention to her - as most dogs of any breed/mix will do when in a serious fight. Just like if you jump in the way of someone's fist when they're trying to punch someone else. It's not about you, but you will bleed. Do not EVER get in the middle of a dog fight. Irresponsible twat bag of an owner, that guy is. That woman was being pulled down the street by her bulldog - which signals that she also was not in control of her dog. If something happens with her dog, it will also probably be a problem. This is why I never walked my dogs in public places - too many fucking idiots who have no idea about proper dog ownership. |
