Well honestly, if that kid is 10 years old, he should know better. You don't cross the street without looking both ways. Simple as that. Cars have headlights, so he would have saw the car had been looking. Also, if he had lights on his bike, (required by law at night) the cop probably would have seen him much sooner than he did. Unfortunate, but ...preventable. I blame the parents for not teaching their son to use his head by age 10.

That kid was a fuckin moron bred by fuckin moron parents. That cop couldn't have stopped in time lights of not, and I don't think a 10 year old retard riding a bike across a freeway in the middle of the night would sure as hell not have had the brains to get off the road if he heard a siren anyway.

yea..he couldve maybe tried harder to avoid him..but hes crossing a 4 lane road with no obvious reflectors on his bike and obviously he didnt look before crossing....i dont think they should charge him with shit

I feel sorry for the cop the cop who has to live with this the rest of his life. I hope no chargesd were brought up against him. The ones who should be chargeds are the parents for child endangerment. That kid should not have been riding a bike on a dark busy road.

The kids shouldn't be out at night like that. It depends on the city/state if lights and sirens are required when responding above the speed limits. Some of you dumbasses would respond to a bank robbery while people were still inside with sirens? Sure help create a hostage situation......
