Re: Seattle Police Release Dashcam Video Of Woodcarver's Shooting

You don't have to hear or be a genius to know if you're holding a knife and a cop has a gun pointed at you, it's probably not smart to keep holding the knife. Picture this- pretend you're deaf- Turn around and see a cop with some pissed off looking body language and you're holding a knife? The cops then pulls his gun. I'm not going to keep holdinh the knife and I'm definately not going to walk towards the cop. Was he shot in the back? Did the witnesses say he walked or moved towards the cop? Nowhere in the media are these important facts reported. Some people throw all logic out the window and just want to hate the police. Thankfully there are very, very few idiots who believe this without having all the information and making logical decisions.

I'll post my complete corrected post, which I attempted to edit. Evidently if I take more than 20 minutes to edit, it won't let me. So, I have to repost the whole thing again. Ignore the previous post, this one replaces it.

Also, whoever posted this says it's a quote that the Officers badge was "pulled". This is either a lie or a very bad quote (what's the source of the quote?) All other media reports say the inquest is not completed.
The cop may be found guilty later on, after due process is exhausted, but I'm not going to trust an uneducated knee jerk reation or opinion about a story just because I hate police or authority, that would make me look ignorant and immature.

Re: Seattle Police Release Dashcam Video Of Woodcarver's Shooting

I heard on the news tonight from this mans family that he was DEAF in one ear....

Also, one shot to the knee would disable any sized attacker - this was murder and unnecessary!

Big deal - he didn't drop the knife, fine - then stay back till help arrives. If he advances on you - shoot in the knee.

I am starting to lose a lot of respect for the police, esp. the RCMP up here too.....

Just like the Polish guy at the Vancouver airport - 5 RCMP guys to take out a guy with a stapler

Re: Seattle Police Release Dashcam Video Of Woodcarver's Shooting

Thats fucking sickening. So many cops are way too trigger happy. It gives a bad name to the cops that actually want to do their job properly.

I heard he had a criminal history and cops knew this guy well enough so it seems they waited for the right moment to get rid of him foregood.

Get rid of him for good? This isn't the mafia, whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?

Why not? You've got numerous similar situations to pull an example from, this isn't the first case of police corruption or abuse of power by any means.

This wouldn't be the first case where it might be found to be justified either. I don't form that opinion until all the info is in. Kinda like I don't say all German people hate Jews, plenty of examples from the holocost to support that idea too.

Regardless, anyone who posts that they like to dissect girls, etc.. won't be seen as serious, just as a forum flamer.
