Re: School Bus Aide Arrested After She Was Abusing Children with Severe Autism
If all the kids were white, they could throw a Hate Crime charge, that could go through and make sure she goes to prison.

Re: School Bus Aide Arrested After She Was Abusing Children with Severe Autism
Update: https://www.9news.com/article/news/c...a-44e5fb9546d1 Published: 5:52 PM MDT March 18, 2025 Updated: 5:52 PM MDT March 18, 2025 LITTLETON, Colo. — For nearly a year, the criminal case against a former school bus aide accused of abusing at-risk children has moved through court as parents wait for justice. On Tuesday morning, Kiarra Jones appeared in Arapahoe County District Court for a preliminary hearing in which a detective testified about the “dozens” of incidents of abuse captured on camera. A judge will decide in mid-April if the case should move to a trial after prosecutors and defense attorneys submit written arguments to the court. In April 2024, families of children who are named victims released footage of Jones repeatedly striking a harnessed child on the bus while she worked as an aide for Littleton Public Schools. Police arrested Jones and soon afterwards, the case made national news as the video of abuse spread on social media. Parents alleged their children were coming home with marks, cuts and bruises for months but couldn’t explain their injuries because they were nonverbal living with special needs. They also accused the Littleton school district of being dismissive of concerns about injuries. For mother Brittany Yarbrough, she said the effects of the abuse on her son have been everlasting. “I'm not sure this will ever go away. We will be fighting for his safety, to help him feel safe, to have his autonomy back for the rest of his life,” Yarbrough said.
