Its INSANE that this guy was indicted already. I see nothing conclusive that was "wrong". A car IS A DEADLY WEAPON and the officer was assaulted with it. The guy was obviously no angel and repeatedly ignored simple commands. He also chose to take the "easy route" and run instead of taking the jail time he so deserved and was no stranger too...

I would bet money this cop walks away and even may get restitution in the end for the wrongful indictment...

Did we watch the same video? That went from zero to WARP SPEED CAPTAIN in 3 tenths of a nano second. You really think in that situation he "knew" definitively the guy was DRT? He was reaching around and acting fishy the whole time, there was no way for the cops to know he was DRT and no longer a threat/armed until they came up on the car the second time...

yeah man, situations like this break down so fast and it's easy as hell to figure out the squeaky clean perfect solution when watching a video. I think we need to give cops some leeway in when they make mistakes, this being a perfect case.

I think murder is a bit extreme. I think the cop anticipated the guy was about to attempt to flee, so his hand was probably on his gun the entire time.

I noticed other officers were already there, which could account for the Perp's excessive nervousness, he probably felt he was about to go to jail.

I just can't see anyone committing "cold blooded murder" with a body-cam, and other cops standing around.

I think the indictment was only submitted because of the risk of violent riots in the city without it. We have to remember people, this officer is completely innocent until proven guilty, and aside from the prosecutor slandering the officer, there's nothing here that suggests the officer didn't have a reason to fear for his life. I'd be scared too if I thought I was about to be dragged along by some drunk as can be man at top speed. In the end, though, I think politics will be the bigger decider in this case than actual conclusive evidence.

At 20 seconds in he turn's his vehicle off with his right hand (remember this part) and reaches into the glove box for his license plate. Suspecting Samuel may try to flee the scene and needing to verify his identity the officer asks Samuel to take his seatbelt off as he goes to open his door. While doing so you can hear Samuel say "I didn't even do nothin' immediately afterwards at 1:53 turns the ignition on, attempting to flee. The officer reaches into the vehicle to try to turn the vehicle off. Because of how shaky the cam was it's hard to determine how the officer's hand got stuck, if at all. How likely is it to get run over when standing on the side of the vehicle? I don't know. What I do know is that officer wasn't going to take that chance and that's why I believe the officer chose to fire.

I don't think the officer was in the wrong. Samuel made a costly decision when he turned his ignition on in an attempt to flee.

he had no reguard for this guys life, just decided to end his life for no reason,,, police officer was not in any danger...
