~Gunman Chases Man Down, Shoots Him Inches From Kids~

Terrifying video released Friday by the NYPD shows the moment an armed suspect chases down a 24 year old man and shoots him several times, barely missing 2 children, also on the sidewalk and appearing to flee for their safety.

Police in the borough are on the hunt for the gunman as well as a second man who helped the shooter get away on a scooter.

The department tweeted out a video of the Thursday shooting when the suspect opened fire inches away from the 2 children. the incident was reported around 6:45 pm in front of 1551 Sheridan Avenue...

I know people will do crazy things to live. But that's messed up.

It definitely looks like the victim was attempting to use those kids as shields.

I'm glad they didn't get hit, at least the shooter was careful and got in close. Like a semi professional hit. If it was gang violence those kids would have been toast.

It was gang violence, unfortunately. The shooter was not careful, the kids just got lucky.

what kind of prancing ****** assassin is that? kids got damn lucky they didn't get hit too. the gunman was dancing around like an idiot. obviously an amateur.

Looked careful to me. It appears the gunman held his fire several times as to not shot the kids.

I'm not saying that was safe or a careful hit. But with the circumstances, if the shooter wasn't trying to be careful, those kids would have been hit.

When he fell, he was unable to move his legs. Probably paralyzed when he hit the ground.
He couldn’t get up so he was attempting to crawl.

He may have not been able to use his legs. But he grabbed that girl and fell to the ground with her. He gets back up for a second then falls again, probably the shot that got his legs.

And while on the ground he grabs one of the girls feet, and she breaks it free, you can see that when her shoes comes off. He then grabs the other girl by her leg, and the other girl pulls the other from his grip.

I watched it 3 times in slow motion. He was definitely trying to use them as shields.
