lightning goes through trees pretty easily so I wouldn't attempt that. A quick I=V/R calculation (current = voltage divided by resistance) shows us that with extremely high voltages, you need some pretty good resistance to avoid a flow of current. Any water in that branch and you are totally fucked. Anything above 1 Amp of current and you are gonna have problems styling your hair for a few days
