The Smallest House in Britain is situated in a beautiful position on the quayside in Conwy. North Wales. This red painted one up one down measures only 1.8m wide. Built as a fisherman's cottage, the last person to live in the cottage, Robert Jones was 6' 3" tall. and i have been there and inside it, its fucked up,, but very cosy and i can see how he lived there quite happily!!  ·  · |

It's a normal house that is being moved. Those steel beams are to keep the house from tweeking around while it's being moved. I can't say why it is so high up but perhaps that has to do with the house being moved in and needing to keep it level while the foundation and another level is being built under it. Then it will be lowered onto the first floor of the new house.  |
