I understand that the attack was against the US, but I wouldn't call them cowards. War is war. You're trying to kill each other, and stealth is your #1 friend. How is it any different than a unmanned drone dropping bombs on those sand monkeys? Is the soldier pressing the button miles and miles away a coward?

I'm 99% sure this is Afghanistan, not Iraq. This is the new age of war, where political confrontations don't spark war; lack of resources do. Afghans have been invaded and occupied several times, and they really, really don't like it. The new age of war is these hit-and-run attacks, small cells that can inflict some damage to the enemy, but the primary goal is to inflict injury instead of casualties. A soldier is killed, you send him home and that's that. A wounded soldier needs to be cared for for the rest of his life at massive expense to the invading country. A prolonged resistance like Iraq or Afghanistan isn't designed to destroy the occupiers, they know that's impossible. It's designed to bankrupt the invading country and send them home in ruins. Then on top of that, countless thousands of wounded soldiers that will need care for the next generation. That's not a pussy way to fight, that's ingenious.
